Men’s Golf Student-Athletes Participate in the 2024 Michael Hebron Championship

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Three student-athletes from the SUNY Old Westbury men's golf program participated in the 2024 Michael Hebron Championship this past week. 
 
Robert Martini, Sean Mendyk and Michael Fokas each participated on the historic Bethpage State Park Black Course in Farmingdale, N.Y.
 
Mendyk and Fokas played on day one however they did not make the cut to advance to round two on Wednesday. Mendyk finished with a +9 Par and a total score of 80. Fokas recorded a +20 Par and total of 91 points. 
 
Martini had a strong outing as he finished the opening day as the eighth best finisher. Martini finished day one, +13 Par and with a total score of 73. Martini's finish advanced him to the second round and day two of the tournament. 
 
On day two, Martini recorded a score of 82 and a total score of 155 over the two days.
