Before Old Westbury: Played two years at Monroe Community College…Averaged 13 points and six assists per game…Received All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2001 and was a Second Team All-Conference selection in 2002…Was the MVP of his high school team (William E. Grady) as a senior…Was named Second Team All-Brooklyn as a junior.
 
Personal:  Is the son of Charles and Jacqueline Garrett…His brother, Kevin Garrett, played two years of basketball at Kingsborough Community College.
